WHAT I DO
WHAT I'VE DONE
graduated from The University of South Florida in the spring of 2016 with a degree in Mass Communications with a focus in Public Relations. While simultaneously attending classes, I had the pleasure of interning with the Tampa Bay Yankees. The tasks I handled were researching the players, coaches and managers; interviewing them; and drafting articles that were posted to an onine magazine called Pinstripes Plus Magazine.
I've worked on a few feature films as a PA and a director's assistant, so I've really come to appreciate all positions when it comes to making a film.
I was fortunate enough to intern with Daytime, a syndicated show that airs on WFLA. I was actually interviewed by them twice. One was about my double kidney transplant journey, and the other was about a play that I was in. I became very fond of the four months I worked there and was sad to say good-bye. There I learned a multitude of skills that are useful in the mass communications field. This includes: telepromting, researching and finding interesting people to be guests on the show, being able to communicate and be professional with VIPs and clients, and yes, making coffee. Hey, I guess it's true what they say about interns!!!
I

or the time being, since January 2014, I am a caretaker for a beautiful family with two boys. I have also held other positions simultaneously, such as being a server and working for non profit companies. Currently I work part time at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in the marketing department, and I work at a pain management office as a medical biller. (The practice is owned by the dad of the boys I take care of.)
In the meantime, I am pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming a professional, working actress. I am SAG-AFTRA, so I can check that off! You can check out my IMDb page, which includes my headshots and reel, here. I am pleased to say that I have been with The Performer's Studio Workshop, an acting school in Tampa, since 2013. Under the guidance of my acting teacher, Kathy Laughlin, I have a place to study and work on my craft. Throughout the year, we have showcases for agents and casting directors. In 2019 alone we had Claire Simon, Rhavynn Drummer, Matthew Morgan and Liz Coulon come in.
I was in the world debut of Neighbors at the Straz Center on Aug. 30, 2018. It is a comedy written by Rory Lawrence about an African American couple and a Spanish couple greeting their new white neighbors--that's me!! I played the role of Gina Emerson, who makes innocent racial remarks, is quite brilliant, snorts when she laughs, and likes the movie Straight Out of Compton. She even ends up rapping "Boyz in the Hood".
November 2021 I made a cameo appearance in I Think She's The One at the Straz in the Ferguson Hall.
In my spare time, I volunteered at Tampa General Hospital (pre COVID), the hospital that took care of me for several years. My goal and plan is to implement a program for the pediatric dialysis patients for while they wait.
I also hang out with my best friend and her twin girls. I've also been spending a lot of time doing art projects.
